Hi.
So I started this blog and a lot of you that know me are probably thinking, “what in the world is this girl doing…how does she have the time for all this?!” and to tell you the truth, you might be right! Haha. Needless to say, I wanted to start a blog to share my experiences with life…ALL of it. So that is what you will find here.
I will be sharing my decorating tips, beauty tips, parenting tips, life tips, and anything I can possibly think of!
So to get started….refer back to my title.
I chose this to explain a quick excerpt into my current life and for those that don’t know me to get more of an idea of just exactly what I do!
Here it goes.
My businesses: it all started almost exactly 4 years ago when I created these little boxes for the groomsmen in our wedding…in 2014. We purchased wooden boxes and placed all our little appreciation trinkets in them for the guys. Well, after we got married, I decided to create an Etsy shop where I would list my artwork, and digital design skills and jewelry and also just happened to throw up there these boxes….now fast forward about a year and a half and my life was CRAZY. You know what the number one seller on my Etsy site was? THOSE BOXES! I sold over 300 of them at $20-$25 a piece and had many companies contacting me to make them for their employees in bulk and I was just a one man shop and got SUPER overwhelmed really fast. Now, do I regret doing those boxes? Absolutely not. They taught me what it means to work hard (I did all this when I also had a full time job and part of it while I was pregnant!) and also gave me the pleasure of finding out one of my passions: to be able to provide something for people and them enjoy it! Which I still do upon request AND that lead me to my second business…selling cosmetics.
Now, this second business started a month after my babies came home from the NICU (which I will do another post about all of the experiences of that). Having your babies come 3 months early and having to leave them in the hospital for 90 days as a new mom and trying to figure out how to do everything that comes with being a new mom lead me to get down on my security. I didn’t feel pretty, and most new moms can attest to this feeling. You feel gross, you just had babies in your belly, yes, but your body is not once what it was and no matter what happened inside of you, it’s like our minds can’t fully comprehend how our body is what it is now and how it takes time to get back to what it used to be! Anyways, I saw a good friend of mine post about this amazing lipstick that didn’t come off on anything and needless to say, I signed up to sell even before I tried it. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into but I decided I would go all in. Almost two years later, I have a team that has sold over $200,000 in cosmetics just from me sharing my love for the products I use on myself and on my clients (I do bridal makeup–well really any kind of makeup)!
The third business: haircare. My mom is a hairstylist and I have grown up just following whatever she gave me because she was my mom and I had no reason to question. I still don’t; my mom is an amazing stylist and ANYONE in Tulsa, Oklahoma should go her! Anyways, I found this amazing natural based product through a friend and got Z started with it before I did and guess what….a year later, I decided to try it and start sharing my experience about it myself. AND IT TOOK OFF. You know what EVERY SINGLE PERSON uses no matter what? Shampoo. If you don’t, that might be another issue and we need to talk my friend!
And my fourth business: real estate. Never in a million years would I have thought as a little elementary school kid that I would be a real estate broker some day. You know what my original plan was? A cardiologist. WHAT?! Ya, I don’t know what I was thinking. Just goes to prove that your experiences in life will show you what your passions are and that you don’t have to decide what you want to be when you’re 12…not saying it can’t happen that way, but it didn’t for me and I couldn’t be happier! So as I start into my fourth business, my main goal and underlying passion I realize I can have in ALL my businesses: CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am passionate about being there for my people. Once you do business with me, you are my family. I like to take care of you, NO MATTER WHAT. And most of my clients/customers will tell you that!
OK, OK…..this post got WAAAAY longer than I intended, but that is an excerpt into my professional careers. Along with taking care of two toddlers (boy/girl twins that will be two in a MONTH–holy cow), a very needy German Shepherd (almost 4), and my husband, which poor thing, I don’t do a ton for him and he still loves me!
Moral of this whole post: don’t settle for anything career wise. Find what you want in life and make an effort to get there. Whether it takes 3 weeks or 5 years, head in a direction you want your life to be and someday you will get to your paradise!
xoxo,
